Movies expose us to the most violence and some of the most popular curse words, yet no one had ever been arrested or fine for this even though I don't think anyone should be because democracy give us the freedom of speech and also the right to listen to what we want to the last time I check.

  I also think Jamaica was among the democratic countries too and that is why I find it difficult to understand why is it our entertainers are being fined and arrested for using curse words which are also used by policeman and woman which uses the same words themselves, violently to civilians all the time.

  

Our dancehall artistes are getting  paid to please there fans like any other entertainer including actors so if the event is being attended by fans who or grown adults and absolutely has no problem with them cursing I don't think it should matter to anyone else.

I am pretty sure the government of Jamaica has more important matters to address  than to send a group officers to listen for curse words and antagonize our entertainers who bring so many revenue to the country yearly.

 "Nicki Minaj Was Fined For Using Explicit At Sumfest" can someone give me a word to express how stupid  this article looks. If you are wondering if this is true, yes she was fined Jamaican $1000  at the Sumfest 2011 for using explicit. She didn't run inside a church and yelled a curse word in the middle of the service this was at "Sumfest" oneof the biggest Reggae Festival in the world

 I hope the relevant authority may look over this ridiculous law because this is not helping our entertainment industry it is more likely destroying our country.

    Reggae music is one of Jamaica's greatest treasures. Jamaicans have shared this wonderful treasure with the world for more than three generations. Even though it may be controversial at times, because it is sometimes political and address issues that many may have thought about and never talk about, it is however accepted by every nation no matter the race, language, culture or class you just got to love it because Reggae music = love.

    Unfortunately often times Reggae music gets confused with its offspring, Dancehall Music which has been accused in more recent times for promotion of violence and lyrics of sexual natures, which we will address in a next article.

    As you know, one of the most popular faces for Reggae Music is the late great Robert Nesta Marley who is more popularly known as Bob Marley. Bob Marley face not only represents Reggae Music and Jamaica today, but also represents unity and maybe this is why he was awarded artiste of the century. He used Reggae Music as a weapon of mass unification in his effort to bring world peace and to fight against oppression across the world. With just powerful lyrics of peace and love with a guitar, he still manage to bring back some love to the world which was going through a terrible era of racism and civil wars in places like South Africa and Zimbabwe. Which inspired the hit "Zimbabwe", meanwhile Jamaica in particular was plagued by crime on violence during the 1980 elections.

   Throughout this horrific war and  violence between the two political parties in Jamaica’s 1980 elections the world call upon the leaders of both political parties in desperation, to save the beautiful island of paradise which leave them no alternative but to dig for the island's treasure which was taken in Jamaica National Stadium and unveiled by the great icon Bob Marley when he performed one of his great hit song titled " JAMMIN " when he called both party leaders on stage and have them shake hands as a symbol of unity and an example for party followers to follow and once again Reggae music the island's treasure restored the love!

Peter Tosh was born Winston Hubert McIntosh on October 9, 1944 in Grange Hill, Jamaica. Raised by his aunt, he left home in his early teens and headed for the slums of Kingston, Jamaica, known as Trench Town. Like many of his fellow young aspiring musicians, he found his way to Joe Higgs, a local musician who offered free music lessons to youth. It was through Joe Higgs that Peter Tosh met his future fellow band mates, Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer which he made a few hits with before he went solo to do hit like "Legalize It"    
  Niambe Tosh, the daughter of late, great Reggae singer, Peter Tosh thinks that her famous father should be branded a National Hero by the Jamaican Government. This hails as part of the Peter Tosh Estate's campaign to garner full recognition for the Reggae singer's many contributions to Jamaica's music industry, amongst other works. 

In an interview with IRIE FM on recently,Niambe Tosh insists that her father deserves such acknowledgement from the local governments. Do you think he deserve to be a National Hero ?
